Maryland Elementary School Computer Science Ambassadors

Over 100 educators from across all 24 districts have participated in the Elementary CS Ambassadors program through the first five cohorts. For each cohort of Ambassadors, the content of the sessions is carefully curated to address the specific needs of that cohort, while also leveraging the strengths and expertise of the group. The Elementary CS Ambassadors program provides the following benefits:

Empowers teachers to teach CS to their students
Builds confidence and community, especially for new to CS teachers.
Makes high-quality standards aligned with curricular materials accessible to teachers.
Provides resources to train other teachers in their schools and districts:
Broadens participation by making CS and CT accessible to all teachers and students.

Due to the success of the Ambassador program, we have added ongoing support through a Community of Practice (COP).
